A woman in her forties sustained life-altering injuries after a two-car collision on the A365 Bath Road near Melksham.

The police got a call around 2:10 PM. A red Vauxhall Astra hit a red Nissan Micra. Both cars were near Bowerhill Lane and coming from Bowerhill. The Nissan was waiting to turn right onto Bowerhill Lane when the Vauxhall crashed into it.
The Nissan’s driver, a woman in her forties, went to the hospital with potentially life-changing injuries. She is still getting care there. The Vauxhall’s driver, a man in his thirties, was not hurt.
The road closed for investigation work but has since reopened. The Serious Collision team checked out the scene, with a cordon up late at night between Bowerhill and Seend Fork.
People could leave the school and nearby places, heading west towards the A350 or towards Melksham. Police need witnesses to the crash due to the woman’s serious injuries.
