Young writers near Woodstock can win prizes. Stories must be about museum items and under 500 words.

Kids aged seven to eleven can enter. They must live within ten miles of the Woodstock museum.
The contest is run by the Friends of the museum. They want kids writing stories related to a museum item. The word limit is five hundred.
Councillor Neil Fawcett thinks it is great and wants kids to get creative at the museum. Go see the items to participate.
Stories need to be in by May 23 at 9 AM. You can grab forms at the museum or start by emailing them.
Dr. Hagan Bayley and Jane Tomlinson judge the entries. Hagan owns Woodstock Bookshop, and Jane is a local artist.
The winner gets fifty pounds and has their name put on a trophy. That would be pretty awesome, right?
Edward Dowler chairs the Friends group. They want kids excited about the museum. He said the exhibits display parts of past lives; it shows history, not just old stuff.
