Greenwich Council seeks public input on the future of Woolwich Barracks following its impending sale by the Ministry of Defence.

The army will still be in Woolwich. The King’s Troops will stay at Napier Lines, while other parts will be open for new uses in 2028.
Greenwich Council is asking for resident feedback on how the site will change after the sale. Residents and groups can share their thoughts early.
Council Leader Anthony Okereke commented that Greenwich is proud of its military history. The council wants any changes to respect local heritage. He added that land use matters for residents and businesses and wants people to help shape the future of the site.
The consultation discusses key redevelopment issues, covering limitations and possibilities for Woolwich Barracks. The consultation will end on March 3.
