Wooster’s Bakery moves from Bardwell to Wyken Vineyards, Stanton, reopening February 26th with expanded offerings.

Will Wooster runs the bakery now, having led it since 2015. The move is bittersweet for him, as his family started the bakery in 1992 in his grandmother’s building.
The Bardwell site closes February 22nd, reopening February 26th at Wyken Vineyards. Will’s brother Joe managed the Bardwell bakery, making it a welcoming place. Wooster’s has grown over ten years, opening a shop in Bury St Edmunds and selling goods at local markets too.
Will first sold his baked goods at Wyken market. He said the farmers’ market is amazing, with great people and produce. Wyken has beautiful grounds and gardens, so moving there makes perfect sense.
Wyken Vineyards is led by Sam Carlisle, and the Leaping Hare restaurant is famous, featured in the Good Food Guide. The restaurant is in an old barn. Sam said the Wooster family is important to Suffolk The Wooster family previously sold bakery goods in his restaurant, so this new venture makes sense to him.
Sam looks forward to Wooster’s permanent spot. He worked with Will’s mom, Sue, before when they ran a nursery at his shop. They share a focus on local goods and care a lot about sustainability.
Wooster’s will still sell beloved items, like their Malt Loaf, at Wyken Vineyards’ Bull Pen café. The opening hours stay the same: Wednesday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM. The move lets them grow their deli options, with more local Suffolk goods like Fen Farm cheeses and Dingley Dell meats.
