A local, Marie Fish, took some photos. They show dirty water in the alley. She thinks it’s leaking from a drain. The water smells bad.
High walls make it hard to pass. Marie fears people might slip. She wants the problem fixed soon.
It’s a route many people use daily. People put things down as steps. Rain washes over them, she said. The sludge left behind is awful. She dislikes thinking what it is.
Jabba Riaz is a local councilor. He’s worried about people falling. He will talk to Highways about it. The footpath is in his ward.
He said footpaths must be safe. He added Severn Trent needs to act. The leak makes an unsafe path. It links Rainbow Hill to other spots.
Daniel Hicks works for Severn Trent. He said a team would check it. They will find who owns the drain. If it’s theirs, they’ll fix it fast.
