Lilian Griffiths passed away at 91. Her funeral will be held on March 11, and donations to the Stroke Society are welcomed.

At 15, she started working at Naylor’s carpet factory. Later, she met Ernest “Ginger” Griffiths at a traveling fair. Lilian and Ernest wed in 1956. They had two kids: Anthony and Mark.
With her husband, Lilian built a house in Hartlebury, Worcestershire. They also ran The White Lion pub in Astwood Bank, known as haunted.
Lilian loved traveling, especially to Spain. She also traveled the world with her family and enjoyed time at their Valencia caravan.
Her son Anthony Griffiths, 61, said his mom was very strong. He shared that she saw more than most and was loving, caring, and warm. They will all miss her.
Even after a stroke last year, she went to Spain for one last holiday at 90. Lilian had a close bond with her grandson, Liam, with whom she talked about life during the war and enjoyed tea and cake.
She also had a “second family,” Mujeeb, Sabi, and their kids, Adil, Aliya, and Ayaan. They helped her husband when he was sick. Lilian’s funeral is on Tuesday, March 11, at 1:30 pm at Stourbridge Crematorium.
The family asks for no flowers, but donations to the Stroke Society are welcome. Everyone is welcome to celebrate her life, and they ask that people wear bright colours. Lilian is survived by Anthony, Mark, Liam, Mujeeb, Sabi, Adil, Aliya, and Ayaan.
