A multi-agency operation led to arrests for various offenses and uncovered vehicle violations.

Officers worked with partners at the Kidderminster DVSA site. HMRC, TER, DVLA, and Trading Standards were involved. They checked vehicles for safety and legal issues. They looked for red diesel, waste violations, or stolen trailers.
The police stated that this operation was indeed a success. Officers arrested twelve people for various offenses, including assault, stalking, and child cruelty. One person was arrested for drug driving there.
Ten arrestees were bailed as the investigation goes on. One person got arrested and charged for theft and was also recalled to prison. Another person got arrested, charged, and held for witness intimidation.
At the DVSA site, police stopped drivers for several reasons. Two had no insurance, one had no license, and one wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Another had no MOT; five had tinted windows, and one used red diesel. Four had unsecured loads, three were too heavy, six had bad tires, and eight had illegal plates. Two vehicles got seized during this.
The DVSA issued thirteen vehicle prohibition notices. Vehicles couldn’t leave until they fixed the issues. One overloaded vehicle was 200kg overweight, while another was a “rogue” trader with no business license.
Inspector David Evans led the operation. He said it targeted wanted suspects, and rolling arrest attempts happened all day Tuesday. Twelve arrests resulted, including one for drug driving. All are helping with investigations now.
Officers and partners had success at the DVSA site, serving thirteen notices to drivers with flawed or illegal vehicles. This ensures road safety and stops people from evading correct taxes.
