Police shared crime reports from train stations. The reports cover February 2024 to January 2025, and compared this to the prior year. Shotton station had the most incidents, with 14, up from 11, making it the highest in Wrexham and Flintshire.

Wrexham General, the busiest station with 268,981 people using it in 2024, had seven incidents last year, down from 17 the year before. Flint station saw the most passengers in Flintshire, with 133,138 travelers in 2024. Unfortunately, crimes there rose sharply.

Flint saw 13 offenses in 2024, a significant increase from only four in 2023. However, Ruabon, Chirk, and Cefn Y Bedd remained safe, as did Hawarden, Hawarden Bridge, and Buckley, which all saw no crimes.

Wrexham General reported seven offenses in 2024 compared to 17 in 2023, serving 268,981 passengers. Wrexham Central had two offenses in 2024, a decrease from 12 in 2023, with 36,590 passengers. Gwersyllt had two offenses in 2023, with 17,621 passengers using it in 2024.

Ruabon had zero offenses in both years, despite serving 46,493 passengers in 2024. Similarly, Chirk also had zero offenses with 34,222 people using it in 2024. Cefn Y Bedd also saw zero offenses reported, with 3,905 passengers in 2024.

Caergwle reported one offense each year, serving 9,914 passengers. Hope saw three offenses in 2024 and four offences in 2023, despite 14,452 passengers using the station.

Penyffordd reported one offense yearly, with 12,488 passengers in 2024. Hawarden had zero offenses both years, with 17,562 people using it in 2024. Hawarden Bridge also saw no incidents, with only 2,530 passengers using it yearly.

Shotton’s offenses rose to 14, up from 11 last year, while serving 118,597 people. Buckley had zero offences last year, a decrease from one the year before, with 24,215 passengers. Flint saw 13 offenses, a sharp rise from four.
