Since the new owners arrived, more people attend games, and more fans visit the Racecourse Ground now, with about 12,600 fans attending each game.

Authorities tried road closures and access limits. Still, locals often mention inconsiderate parking, which has been an issue for some time.

This season started with more resident worries. Council members met with the team’s CEO, Michael Williamson, hoping to find solutions to parking issues, and another meeting was planned for this week.

The council started a free parking trial scheme at the Ruthin Road site until season’s end. Eagles Meadow then offered free parking too, giving 300 spots to season ticket holders.

Locals still worry, so the council is taking action. They stressed to fans to be careful where they park, and not to block driveways or residential streets.

Councilor David Bithell commented on the situation, saying the club’s success hugely benefits Wrexham. They work with the team and others on parking, and free parking is available on the Ruthin Road site on weekend game days.

Reporters contacted Wrexham AFC and the police, wanting each group to comment on current parking problems.
