Joshua Phillips and Hannah Kellett admitted to assaulting an emergency worker, resulting in fines imposed by the court.

The prosecutor, Diana Przemecka, shared details. Police went to Craft & Company on Watergate Street on February 2nd, responding to a report of a problem involving several people.
Phillips ran when police arrived at the scene. PC Fong caught and arrested him. Kellett then slapped PC Fong in the face, believing he pushed her head against a wall.
While trying to stop the arrest, Kellett fell. Phillips then kicked PC Fong in the back, aiming to get the officer away from Kellett. She later felt remorseful after watching the video.
PC Fong provided a statement on the impact the assault had on him. He emphasized that nobody has the right to hit him. He explained that the slap caused pain that lasted for a long time and that it stung his face for hours.
Stevie Bate defended the couple in court, noting their infrequent alcohol consumption. She explained that a group of men had caused trouble for Phillips, leading security to remove everyone from the bar.
Phillips expressed regret for running from the police, although he maintained he had done nothing wrong. Kellett felt remorse after viewing her attack. Both were acting to protect their partners.
Kellett has no prior convictions. Phillips was convicted for battery in 2013. He also had mental health issues stemming from his time serving in the army in Afghanistan.
Dr. Kenneth Baird issued fines to both Phillips and Kellett. Phillips was fined £650, along with a £260 surcharge, £85 in costs, and ordered to pay PC Fong £100.
Kellett received a smaller fine of £115. She also paid a £46 surcharge, £85 in costs, and gave PC Fong £100 as well.
