Family Friends in Wrexham receives £9,830 from Hafren Dyfrdwy’s Community Fund to support vital family services.

Family Friends is in Rhosddu and gives practical and emotional help. This support is crucial for local families because both trained volunteers and skilled family support workers are involved.
They offer free counseling services for both adults and children. Wellbeing groups are also available, and respite groups support parents and kids. They also provide domestic abuse support and confidence courses.
Family Friends is well-established now, working with 25 local agencies, including social services and the Council. Currently, 91 families are waiting for support.
Hafren Dyfrdwy gave Family Friends £9,830 from their Community Fund. Funding will cover some running costs and help with finance and admin support.
Jo Hughes, a Senior Manager at Family Friends, said this grant is meaningful because it helps their important work with families in Wrexham. This money provides vital support services, so people get help at crucial times in life.
Jade Gough, who works for the Hafren Dyfrdwy Community Fund, said Family Friends offers vital support, giving care, training, and advice to families. These services are essential to the community, and they are pleased to support them.
Hafren Dyfrdwy announced funding last year, offering £50,000 to charities in Powys and Wrexham. The Community Fund application is now closed but offered funding to several charities.
