The garden waste service lasts from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. You can pay online at wrexham.gov.uk/gardenwaste. The yearly cost is still £35 per green bin. Current members get an extra month of free service.

The usual end date was February 28. Now, it goes to March 31. The council states the £35 charge remains low and urges folks to join the garden waste service, as it is very useful.

Need help paying online? Visit Contact Wrexham at the library, where staff can assist you. They can even help create an email address, or friends and family can subscribe online for you.

No email? Call Streetscene at 01978 298989 to pay with a card by phone. This year, stickers are not used on garden waste bins; the council’s system tracks paid addresses.

Put your house number or name on your green bin to help the system work better. Find the service terms online, or grab them at Contact Wrexham.

Want to get rid of your garden waste bin? Ask for a removal, but this could take some time, so keep your bin for now, as getting a new one later costs money.

You can take garden waste to recycling centers for free. Composting at home is another option too. Find more information at wrexham.gov.uk/gardenwaste. Recycling tips and bin reminder alerts are also available online.
