They will tear down the Greenacres building. It’s on Rhosddu Road. Council officers approved the demolition.

Social care staff moved to the city center. Greenacres is empty now, and the site is ready to be rebuilt. The location is great for social housing because it is very close to the city center.

The Executive Board reviewed two reports and approved the Greenacres demolition plan. This makes way for the site’s redevelopment.

The plan aims to build new social housing. Up to 51 homes may be built. This is a large project for the council, helping to meet the need for affordable housing.

Rhosddu Road is a great location, with shops and other amenities nearby. This makes living there very convenient, as food stores, pharmacies, and dining facilities are close too.

Demolition starts early this year. They need to find a development partner next; the partner will design and build homes, depending on obtaining planning permission, of course.

The Cunliffe Centre will stay open and it’s an adult day care center. They will relocate it eventually, but need to find a good spot first.
