A 21-year-old from Llay admitted to possessing crystal meth in Caego, Wrexham, and was fined by the court.

He admitted to possessing methylamphetamine, also known as crystal meth, on March 18, 2024, in Caego, Wrexham.
Police received a call about a man acting strangely. They found Pugh, who matched the description of the man they were seeking.
Pugh was taken for mental health assistance and informed the police about the crystal meth in his bedroom. Police searched and discovered a plastic bag containing the drug.
His lawyer, Ceri Lewis, explained that he had a psychotic episode after taking the drug that day, believing he was purchasing something else. She added that he is fortunate to be alive.
The lawyer stated that Pugh has stopped using drugs and has no desire to use them again. He provided a ‘care-of’ address to the court, indicating he is staying with friends and fully cooperated with the police.
The court, pleased that he had stopped using drugs, fined him £120 for possession. He also has to pay a £48 surcharge and £85 in extra costs.
