A footpath in Wrexham closes for ten weeks as the Old Library undergoes £4 million refurbishment.

The building is on Queens Square and is a Grade II listed building. It’s been getting fixed up for months now, and that work is a major refurbishment.
REID Construction will lay cables while working at the Old Library. The path, between the building and Guildhall, will be closed to everyone.
If you come from Llwyn Isaf, go between buildings, using the Guildhall and Wrexham Library. The council says sorry for any problems caused.
The council official said it could open sooner, but the closure depends on work speed. The project costs £4 million and changes the Old Library.
The library was built in 1907 with money given by Andrew Carnegie, a Scot. They used the building as council offices later too.
They will add a glass extension out back, which will be a cafe when finished. They plan studios to record music, as well as TV facilities and places for shows.
Workshops will have laser cutters and 3D printers for people. Most of the money comes from Wales, and the project should cost about £4 million.
