Imagine a stolen moped and a high-speed chase. Ciaran Parker stole a Kawasaki 300 motorbike and tried to escape the police, but he crashed. It was a really bad wreck. Parker flew off the bike and across the road, breaking his leg during the crash.

Now, he is in a young offenders institute. This all happened in Pelton, County Durham. He almost hit a bus while speeding at 60 mph. Parker wasn’t wearing a helmet, and he crashed the bike at around 40 mph.

A mom pulled her kids away from the crash as Parker and the bike skidded towards them. Afterward, Parker was sobbing on the ground, stating he needed painkillers and telling police he bought the bike. Medics treated his broken leg at the scene.

He screamed about his ankle and leg pain. Asked about drugs, he cursed at a paramedic. A friend told him to “pack it in” and scolded him for hurting a boy with debris.

Parker got 14 months in a young offender institution. He admitted aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, along with driving without a license or insurance. Plus, he was drug driving. The bike was stolen hours before the crash, which happened on April 2.

A drug test found cocaine and cannabis in him. He is now 20 years old. Police said Parker’s riding was very dangerous, as he rode fast through towns, often on the wrong side of the road. It’s amazing no one died or got hurt badly.
