Haircut One Hundred is a finalist in York Press’s Best Hairdresser award, seeking to reclaim the top salon title they won in 2016.
People nominated their favorite hairdressers online. Now, you can vote! You can vote by getting copies of The Press. Voting lasts until March 1st.
They will announce the winner the week of March 10th. The Press will feature each business, and they’ll explain why they deserve to win.
Haircut One Hundred is at Foxwood Shops. They won the top salon award back in 2016. Now, they are trying to win again.
Ann Taylor opened the shop way back in 1982. She was only 20 years old then! The shop has been around for 43 years.
Ann started at Sweeny Todd’s when she was 15. She did an apprenticeship there. Five years later, she took over her salon. Some of her old clients still visit!
She wanted her own salon since she was young. Now, 43 years later, she still loves it. Six staff members work with her. Her husband, family, and friends help her.
The salon handles all types of hairdressing. They don’t focus on only one area. They change with the times and styles.
Ann wants to make clients feel welcome. She wants them to have a great time. She wants them to look forward to their next visit. Some clients have become good friends.
Ann says they provide excellent customer care. She says they go above and beyond. Vote for them because they are the best. Their staff and customers create a fun vibe.
