A young man died in a collision on the A299 Thanet Way. He was in a lorry that collided with a road sweeper.

His death deeply saddened many people, leaving friends and family heartbroken, and several football clubs in east Kent mourn him. Dover Rangers FC expressed the loss, saying their squad has broken hearts and that they will miss his cheeky personality.
Marshall, in his twenties, played for Dover Town Wanderers and Betteshanger FC. Lately, he had rejoined Cinque Ports FC, who called him a vital member and sent thoughts to his family, including his partner Maisie.
Joanne Wall called him the ideal son-in-law and said their house feels empty now. David Stapley noted it as a huge loss, impacting both football and humanity. Betteshanger FC will honor him with a moment of silence.
Dover Town Wanderers sent their love and hope he shines in heaven. He died in a Fiat Ducato lorry, which hit an Iveco Daily road sweeper around 7 PM on the A299, near St Nicholas-at-Wade.
Emergency crews, including police and ambulances, rushed to the scene. Sadly, they could not save Marshall. The lorry driver was hospitalized with serious but stable injuries, while the other driver had minor injuries. Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
